SEASONAL CHANGES IN THE COMPOSITION OF SCOTS PINE (PINUS SYVESTRIS L.) OLEORESIN MEASURED BY THE NMR METHOD

نویسندگان

چکیده

Analysis of seasonal changes in the composition Scots pine oleoresin by 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy was carried out. Due to favorable weather conditions (positive temperatures on days sampling throughout year) samples for each 12 months were obtained studied. Chloroform (CDCl3) solutions Eight resin acids identified quantified: abietic, dehydroabietic, isopimaric, levopimaric, neoabietic, palustric, pimaric sandaracopymaric, also 6 monoterpenes: camphene, limonene, myrcene, α-pinene, β-pinene terpinolene. It found that amount α-pinene contained it decreased at low temperatures. At same time other monoterpenes not detected within measurement error. supposed formed smaller amounts during period pests' anabiosis, play main role control coniferous insect pests. content pimaric, sandaracopymaric varied insignificantly year. The relationship between levopimaric palustric found. observed caused low-temperature catalytic reactions acid isomerization with formation abietic mainly. suggested these processes should be taken into account exclude errors determining above even case statistical analysis.

Changes in the essential oil composition in the needles of Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) under anthropogenic stress.

Unfavorable anthropogenic factors, such as air pollution, lead to biochemical responses in trees. Changes in the amounts of secondary metabolites may be early indicators of invisible injuries. The aim of this study was to evaluate composition of the essential oils in the needles of Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) growing in the areas affected by pollutant emissions of main factories in Lithuan...

Reversibility of Dimensional Changes in Birch (Betula Pubescens) and Scots Pine (Pinus Sylvestris L.) Wood

The reversibility of wood shrinkage through swelling of birch (Betula pubescens) and Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) as a measure of their response to changing conditions of adsorption and desorption during service was determined. Virtually all dimensional changes that occurred in the form of shrinkage during drying at both conventional and high temperatures were recovered during swelling in b...

Fungal Infection Increases the Rate of Somatic Mutation in Scots Pine (Pinus sylvestris L.).

Somatic mutations are transmitted during mitosis in developing somatic tissue. Somatic cells bearing the mutations can develop into reproductive (germ) cells and the somatic mutations are then passed on to the next generation of plants. Somatic mutations are a source of variation essential to evolve new defense strategies and adapt to the environment. Stem rust disease in Scots pine has a negat...
